Is anyone surprised that the book Hugo Chavez handed to Obama is entitled "Open Veins of Latin America: Five Centuries of the Pillage of a Continent?"
Is anyone surprised that it's a Marxist screed that casts aspersions not only on the United States but on capitalism?
Is anyone surprised that Chavez inscribed the book
"For Obama, with affection?"
Is anyone surprised that the oh-so-cosmopolitan Obama denied that he knew what he was receiving...that he "thought it was one of his books. I was going to give him one of mine?" Doesn't he want all of US to speak Spanish? How is it that he doesn't himself?
Finally, is anyone surprised that Chavez, who characterized George W. Bush as "the devil" and Obama himself as "a poor ignoramous" would use the President of the United States as a propaganda tool?
