With the purposeful failure of the Pelosi-led House (preferring instead a vacation break) to renew the Protect America Act (the act that disallows FISA-style restrictions on intelligence-gathering efforts aimed at potential terrorist activity that originates outside the U.S.) and the even more recent attempt to, once again, withdraw American servicemen and women from Iraq, one has to wonder just how bad Congress has to be for the American citizens to toss the current "leadership" out on its collective ears and replace them. The first example cited places every citizen at risk by hampering the government's Constiututionally prescribed duty to protect our nation, and the second is just one more lame and seditious effort to weaken our nation's fighting stance "over there"...foolishly making us wait until we're hit again in order to fight back here at home. Maybe November's national elections will serve as a beginning. One can only hope.
