It should come as no surprise to anyone that, now that the Democrats are in charge of Congress, things have turned sour: Pelosi wants a huge airplane to ferry her and her chums back and forth between D.C. and California, when a smaller Gulfstream jet seating about a dozen would do the trip nicley...without having to refuel; the new minimum wage has already started to loose jobs for high school and college kids (about the only ones who actually get paid the minimum wage...and then only temporarily); and "the troops" they so highly value are now facing a Congress that "supports them, but not the mission." Oh, and they accuse the Republicans of "cutting off debate" when what REALLY happened is the Democrats only want to debate the two items THEY choose, not the dozen or so measures surrounding our Iraq efforts. Gad!
