The Supreme Court today affirmed an individual American's right to "keep and bear arms." This amendment reads, "A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed" (as the states received it and voted to accept it), or "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed" (as passed by the House of Representatives and Senate prior to distributing it to the states).

   Regardless of the differences in capitalization and punctuation, this simple and straightforward guarantee of our precious and God-given right to self, community and national protection took until now (220 years) to be affirmed by the nations' highest arbiter of constitutionality. This is indeed a great victory for all Americans in that SCOTUS struck down the Draconian anti-gun District of Columbia law forbidding personal ownership of handguns and severly mandating how long-guns must be kept - i.e.,"unloaded and disassembled or bound by a trigger lock.". D.C. Mayor Adrian Fenty predictably disagreed, claiming in this sentiment to "speak for" everyone who lives in the District. Who is he kidding? Does he not know that he is Mayor of what the rest of the country calls "the murder capital of the United States?" He further promised D.C. officials would carefully craft legislation to see that only "responsible people" are allowed to purchase a handgun and that it is stored properly. He then lamented (flying in the face of facts) that his disappointment stems from "what we have seen happen in too many cities." If he cared to come back in for a landing in reality he would see that crime rates soar in places where people are kept from protecting themselves and crime rates plummet where people's right to self-protection are not infringed.

   Congratulations, you citizens of Washington, D.C.! You now have the power to get your city's crime rate down...unfortunately, though, when it does come down your Chief of Police and Mayor will no doubt take credit for it. Oh, and watch out...any personal use of a handgun WILL be trumpeted loudly and long by those two and the mainscream media, claiming "we told you so."

   What's truly frightening is that this affirmation of our right to "keep and bear arms" was dissented by FOUR Justices! Obama said he agreed with the ruling...so did McCain, although it was McCain who filed an amicus curiae brief on behalf of the 2nd Amendment, NOT B. Hussein Obama.

   If you think a Pres. Obama would appoint Justices like the four who dissented and not like the five who know how to read simple English, go to the head of the class!

 

Barack Hussein Obama, the new messiah, lives in a peculiar world...a fantasy world. Here are some of his fantasies:

- he believes that 20+ years of spiritual mentorship at the knee of one of the most racist, anti-American, anti-Semitic, black separatists in the country didn't rub off on him...quite the contrary, we're all supposed to believe such a  self-declared, close association doesn't matter and if we think they do, well, we're just racists

- he believes his other notable associations also don't matter - Wm. Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn (unrepentant members of the Weather Underground, homegrown terrorists), who hosted a kick-off fundraiser at their home to get B.H.O. started in politics - Tony Rezko, fundraiser extraordinaire for Obama and head of the corporation that a) offered B.O. a job right out of law school (he turned it down), and b) was represented to the tune of $43 million in gov't. grants by the law office for whom B.O. did work...Rezko was recently convicted on six counts of wire fraud, six counts of mail fraud, two counts of corrupt solicitation and two counts of money laundering...all of this, of course is as immaterial as Bill Clinton's serial infidelity, Hillary Clinton's Whitewater dealings and her "lucky" break in the futures market

- although NO ONE in the Republican Party, McCain or other, has dared mention Obama's race, he has publicly "warned" his disciples that the GOP will undoubtedly "try to scare" people with his, you guessed it, RACE - the only people who HAVE consistently made mention of B.O.'s race are Democrats, specifically in relation to his and Hillary's demographic draw

- although a staunch supporter of "campaign finance reform", he has slickly sidestepped this alleged core belief by refusing to partake of public campaign funding...his claim is that the system "is broken" and therefore he will not accept it is nonsense...if it's broken, why did he support it? - why did he not fix it during his Senate stay?...and why, did he lie to his supporters by first saying he would avail himself of it but now says he will not?  Could it be that, now that his campaign is outdrawing McCain's in funding, he doesn't see the need for "reform?" How Clintonesque!

- he lives in a world that was, in his formative years, utterly white...his mother and his grandparents who reared him in her absence were, um, WHITE and, according to one of his latest advertisements, they taught him the values and attitudes of the "heartland" where they lived...how that squares with his later attempts to secure "street cred" among black Americans is one of the more fascinating chapters in this fairy tale...of course, when he referred to that loving, self-sacrificing GRANDmother as "a typical white woman", he revealed far more about his character than hers

- this messiah, who claims the magical ability to "unite" us all in the "change" and "hope" we so desperately need, has never, not once in all his brief public career shown any attempt or ability to unite anyone on anything...quite the contrary, he is so far to the left he couldn't "reach across the aisle" if he wanted to because no one's arms are that long!
